I thought I would share a few of the scrapbook pages I made with MY DIGITAL STUDIO. Some were done when I first got the program, some a newer.... can you tell which are which?

HINT: you can't tell by the dates which are which.

Valentine Day Toppers or Cards

Today, I have made for you, (sounds like a cooking show) some Valentine Day Topper or they could be used for cards, or note cards. I just free hand cut them out and when needed used a marker to "touch up" the edges. My kindergarten cutting days are over. (but never was in kindergarten). Once again I made these with my MDS program. You guys need to get this program it is really a lot of fun.

I copied my granddaughter t-shirt to make this in MDS using punches.

The top one is a note card, or can be scrap paper, memo paper, etc.

The bottom one I made the BLING myself. I thought it turned out well.

Hi: Some of you have asked me how to get started or how best to add to my stampin' supplies.
Getting Started: As with any hobby, there's a few must-have tools and supplies. Basic ToolsPaper cutter (item #104152)Scissors (item #108360) (this is used ONLY for paper lol)Adhesive - if you only get one type I would recommend Tombo (item #110755)Assortment of paper and ink - A nice variety to have on hand. SU paper and ink match so you have coordinating colors! Stampin' Starts (item #120954) Assorted paper, (item #119979) Classic Stampin' SpotsStamp set that has a combination of sentiments and images for mix and matching. For your first few stamps, I always suggest to find sets that 'look like you'. Are you into nature, floral, funky images, etc...
Add to Your Stash: If possible, set aside a monthly budget to add to your hobby. You will be surprised how quickly your assortment of goodies will build. And as you have more on-hand, the more options you will have. Again, if you can, consider adding a stamp set, punch, embellishment and paper each month. Or some combo of them. Add a punch...you all know I'm a HUGE fan of stamp and punch. SU works hard to coordinate punches with stamped images.Expand the type of stamp images in your collection. Add a stamp set that works with the upcoming season, holiday or special event.Start to add embellishments to your collections. Ribbon, brads, glitter...these details, while subtle, really make a project pop!Add a pack of designer paper and coordinate with card stock and ink.The "I'm totally into this!"- for me, that would be digital crafting. Carve out time to enjoy your hobby and create a card or project. Call a friend and invite them to make a card with you! Attend a class to spend time with other crafters or learn a new technique or tip.

check out CCCamigos 's channel on youtube....on the how to do's ..... I just love youtube to find ways to use the MDS (My Digital Studio) program or her web site. http://www.constantlystamping.com/. The daisies are a download from stampin up. You can buy the down loads even if you don't have MDS and use them on other programs and projects. Another Christmas Card made with the My Digital Studio (MDS) program. This was a fun card to make, but I did CASE it from someone else. (will post later who when I remember who). I am now in the mood to make my Christmas cards for next year. I ran out of time this year.

Christmas Card - 3

Another Christmas Card that I made using My Digital Studio. In a day ortwo I will add some tags that I made. I am printing them on the sticker paper so that I can just peel them off and stick them to the gifts. The problem is I think I have made more then the gifts I am giving. Can always savethem for next year.

Cricut Circle Pre Utah Swarm get together

I have recently joined the Cricut Circle. I was lucky enough to do so in time to go to a Pre Utah Swarm get together on Saturday Oct. 2. I met about 20 fellow Utah Cricut Circle members. We went to lunch and got to get to know each other a bit before going over to the Provo Craft Headquarters.

Provo Craft Headquarters is such a wonderful place to visit and I think I would love to work there. Mike, Becky and Shannon met us there and gave us a grand tour. The craft room is to die for. They had designs ready for us to print on sweat shirt using the YuDu. And even more fun they gave us all some very nice gifts. I got a Cuttlebug case to keep embossing folders and dies in, Cuttlebug companion embossing floders designed to coordinate with the Cricut Give a Hoot cartridge (that I have), some ink for use with the Cricut machine, and Annies's Attic Scrapbooking with Cricut book.

It was such a fun day.

Take me out to the ball game....

Hubby and I went to the Rays game last night, had great seats (thanks K & G). Even got a game ball, how fun was that? Best part was that the RAYS won and are now in FIRST place again. YEA!!!! #3 Evan L. is my grandson's favorite player, even wants to name his new little brother Evan L. .... don't think that is going to happen... anyhow made this page from MDS... still learning new things to do, it is a great program if you are looking to getting into digital scapbooking or cardmaking.

Salt Lake City Scrapbooking USA Expo

The Cricut Imagine Make and Takes at the SLC Scrapbook Expo!






I took two Friends with me to the Salt Lake City Scrapbook Expo. It was the first time either of them have ever gone to the Scrapbook Expo. The first thing we saw as we walked in was the Provo Craft Huge Booth. They were so well set up to show off the new Cricut Imagine. This was what I came to see and couldn't wait to get started. So we first went to an area that they were cutting out things for their make and takes so we got to see the machine in action right away. It was so impressive to see the paper go in so easily, print the background paper for the project and then drop it down so it could go back through the machine and cut it out All without anyone touching it. The quality of the printed paper was what I wanted to see the most. It is as good as they say it is, I was impressed. Then we got to go to where you can make the Make and Take projects. My two friends got to make the cutest boxes. Just as it was my turn to make one they ran out. So I got to make a scrapbook page (see the picture, sorry my scanner is not big enough to show the whole thing but you can get the idea, the scalopped edge goes all around) it was shown as and example with a large Photo. After making this project you move on to making the card shown above. With this one they used the Cindy Lou Cartridge and you got to see how the regular cartridges do work with the Cricut Imagine. You also got to use a Cindy Lou companion embossing folder for the Cuttlebug. Both my friends fell in love with the cuttlebug and both bought one before leaving the show with a lot of excessories. I should of gotten a commision. After making the card you got to move on to the Cricut Cake Machine. There they showed how it works by cutting out a design to put on top of a cookie. Very cute. My friend Linda had just become a grandma of a new baby boy the night before and was going to the Hospital to meet him after the show. So she had just made a cute gift for Mom and Dad with a card. She felt less guilty about being at the Expo after that. We spent over an hour just at this booth it was so much fun. We walked around to the other booths and found so many things We wanted. It was good to see some of the things in person to see if I really wanted them. Some yes and others not so much anymore. We stayed until the end because during the last hour many of the vendors put things on sale and boy did they. This is when Linda and Raine went crazy. The first sale was a booth that had glitter pens set of 4 for a dollar and a lot of other bling. There was a brad booth that was fantastic, yep crazy. Then they found the booth that had Provo Craft items for such a fantastic price even I went crazy. This is where they bought their Cuddlebugs and more. I got the Cricut Stamp Cartridge, deepcut Cricut Blade, Cricut Cuttables Stamp kit and Cricut Cuttables Stamp Sheets with Storage Pouch all for $20.00! They also had embossing folders, dies, StazOn Ink Pads, and a lot of other things for only $1.00 each. It so much fun when you can get about $250.00 worth of products for less than $50.00 yep I did figure it all out and I even used sales prices for the $250.00 worth of product estimate!

Thank you for the info on the Cricut Imagine. I saw the Imagine yesturday at the Salt Lake Scrapbook Expo. It is everything they say it is. Can it be improved? Of course everything can be improved. The quality of the printed paper was very good! That is what I was most worried about. Now that I have seen it will I buy it? You bet I will! Darlene
